Speciality Courses at Scubajive

NITROX
Minimum Age: 15 Years
Minimum Requirements: Open Water Diver or equivalent

Enriched Air Speciality Course (Nitrox).
Picture this: You are on a 20 meter dive and have 100 bar left in your tank but are getting close to your no decompression limit. Time to head to the surface, what a waste...
Not the case diving on enriched air EANX (Nitrox).
The course ensures that you learn all you need to safely enjoy using EANX from 22% up to 40%.
After taking this course you will be able to reap the many benefits of diving on NItrox.
All you need to enroll in the course is to be 15 years or older and be an open water diver or equivalent diver from another agency.
The course can count toward your Mast Scuba Diver Certification.
This is one course the weather can't spoil as it is no longer a requirement to do any dives in order for certification.
Course costs include manual and slates.

NAVIGATION SPECIALITY

The PADI underwater navigator speciality course takes the mystery out of finding your way underwater by introducing you to natural navigation, estimating distance underwater, navigational patterns and special navigation tools. Accurate navigation saves you energy, keeps stress levels low and helps you relax and enjoy the dive more.

PEAK PERFORMANCE BOUYANCY SPECIALITY

The PADI peak performance bouyancy speciality (PPB) is a highly enjoyable course done over two dives one of which can be done as part of your open water diver course.
Having good bouyancy control can improve your air consumption and allow you to move through the water with minimal effort, preserve visibility along with protecting fragile aquatic life.
Performing safety stops will be a cinch, and if photography is of interest to you, will help you to take better photos as having good bouyancy control allows you to hover in all positions.

SEARCH AND RECOVERY

Picture this. You are sat on the beach having just had a great dive with your dive buddy and someone walks up to you and says they have just lost their expensive watch whilst swimming. Can you help?
Luckily for him you and you buddy have recently completed the PADI Search and Recovery speciality and there is a good chance you may be able to help them.
With the training given you will cover search patterns to enable you to recover lost items both small and large along with bringing them to the surface with the aid of a lift bag if need be.
This is just a brief overview. Of course its great fun and who knows, you may recover the cost of the course with your first find!

DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY (both levels)

Nearly everyone has a digital camera these days, even in mobile phones. Why is this?
It's to make a record of events / something of interest and to share with your friends and family.
What better way to be able to share what you see by diving than by doing the PADI Digital Photography speciality.
Very simply put we take you on two dives covering, amongst other things, camera care before and after diving, how to set up your camera, picture composition in water and on your computer post dive.

Doing any PADI Speciality can count towards the PADI Advanced certification, and the PADI Master Sccubadiver certification.
